Pros

Good product, colleagues at same level lovely, international, fab rapport with sales team, a couple of good directors (when they are interested).

Cons

Very poor salaries but directors still get good bonuses, no opportunities for advancement, lots of power politics and double standards. Wrong people get promoted. Those who should don't.

Advice to Management

Listen to everyone, not just who you think you should - who is to say that person is telling the truth. Remember your staff are your principal asset. Look after them and question why you have such a high staff turnover. Think about alternative ways of staff motivation - read Herzberg!

I have been working at Dickies full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Environment is changing with new talent and ideas. Moving to new ERP and new HR teams. Have some great new leaders that know how to make this a flexible well run business.

    Cons

Moving away from the old stuff. Some people will resist but most welcome change. But change is just starting. After 2017 it will be good to see where they end up

    Advice to Management

Add personality to the company. Be aggressive in advertising a personality and showing it at work. Update the work environment to tailor to a company serving the working man. Not just a bunch of white walls and old tires cubes. Every space should have the style of the working man and woman.

"Worst CPG Company in America / Inapt Leadership with no desire for growth (WALMART TEAM)"

I worked at Dickies full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

None. Horrible company with terrible leadership. No desire to improve or grow and will not value any employees opinions. You will be treated like a dog. There is a reason for the extremely high turnover rate and it falls directly on the management. Also, be prepared to work most holidays that 90% of other CPG companies take off including the largest retailer in the world.

    Cons

You will not receive any training. There is no room to advance within the company and too many people fighting for too little work ( which leads to a very nasty environment). You will be "monitored on the cameras" (seriously, that's weird). You will give monthly presentations that have no relevance to the job. They are just to entertain middle managers with nothing better to do and other analysts who don't gain from learning about your very different account. You're work is not valued by the company and you will be ridiculed for making suggestions. Don't waste your time with this company and look for a company that treats its employees like they deserve and will help you progress in your career. If you have the misfortune of working on the WALMART team with B. Warren or P. Sikes keep a close guard. They are too worried about losing their spot in line and will throw anyone under the bus regardless of the situation. There are so many opportunities out there than to take one working for miserable people that try their hardest to make you miserable.

    Advice to Management

Change your strategy and leadership. Invest in your people and treat them right. If you want to grow your company in a significant way then you have to invest in your people rather than treating them like animals. You have people in leadership roles that have no business managing anything. As far as business outlook; if you expect to keep doing the same things because "that's the way you've always done them", good luck. You will continue to decline.
