Pros

I was lucky to work for one of the better senior managers at the company. The manager provided a lot of support and didn't interfere in daily operations. Compensation was competitive and benefits were decent.

Cons

Overall, management rationale for decisions was unclear. It was definitely a downer to see the ranks of senior management swell while constraints were put on how much we could reward employees for doing a great job. The support functions were difficult to work with at best and the hiring process could have been smoother. There definitely was not enough information exchange across work groups.

Advice to Management

Cut the fat. The staff resents working that hard to pay the salaries of people who bring no value.

    Pros

Great salary, great people, no forward career movement.

    Cons

Small contract company with no room for advancement

    Advice to Management

Employees want career growth in addition to salary and raises. Consider contributing to employ education as an investment in resources. The trust you build with employees will not be lost.

The pay is good, but burnout inevitable.
