Negative Outlook

I have been working at Digital Media Services full-time (Less than a year)

Pros

Decent pay, somewhat friendly atmosphere.

Cons

Communication is lacking, poor infrastructure, technology is subpar for what is supposed to be a post production facility, employees are not given training nor guidance, management takes on far too many projects for the employees to handle (greed), resulting in a need for almost mandatory overtime.

Advice to Management

Expect all you want from your employees, but until you adequately train them, treat them fairly afterward, and nearly as important, upgrade the technology, those working for you may jump ship.

I have been working at Digital Media Services full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Great staff
    Good location
    On-site café

Nothing else is positive about the company,
I wish there was but there isn't.

    Cons

Directors of the company have no moral compass and have a severe lack of empathy towards their staff.
Overtime is unavoidable but treated with resentment and often unpaid.
Clients are promised the world at the expense of already overworked staff.
No consistency in pay amongst all members of staff.
Below average pay for the media industry.

In a perfect world the directors of the company would move on and let people get on with their jobs, rather than micro-managing every situation.

    Advice to Management

The amount of staff that have left the company in recent months should be treated as a serious wake-up call rather than a way to save money on wages.
