I worked at Dignity Health full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Large Company with multiple locations; decent office space (cubicle farms); contractors treated on par with employees

    Cons

Everything is driven by mega-company jargon and completely over-processed/evaluated. If it's not somehow related to a "metric", it doesn't exist! So much turnover that no one seems to know what is going on. Too many meetings and too much middle management. Extreme political correctness clouds professional judgement.

    Advice to Management

Get some consistency and do a better job of retaining employees- the outsource treadmill is a very chaotic environment! Stop outsourcing to India and bring jobs back to the U.S.; end H1B sponsorship and train existing employees to do those jobs for better communication and consistency.

I have been working at Dignity Health full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Benefits are pretty good. Not much else to stick around for.

    Cons

3 ways to move ahead: 1. Not be a minority - Blacks definitely won't move up, or dark skinned latins. If you are white appearing, not matter your skill set, you can go far. 2. You must have XX chromosomes. If you are a man, you are banished to the land of dead end work. 3. Learn to lie, cheat and steal. Management does it and we see them get promotions year after year. Then, you get to watch as they bring their friends in to join in the stealing and lying, while you rot on the bottom.

    Advice to Management

Time to clean house. Company is a house of cards run by liars using smoke and mirrors. Lloyd Dean needs to find out what's going on in his company (but since it's all but doomed), he probably doesn't care.
