I worked at Dignity Health full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The best thing about this employer is it's benefits package. Other than that avoid employment here like you avoid the plague.

    Cons

This is a Union run company and most the employees there have either been there for 20 years, or have been there for less than 5. The turnover rate for new hires is about 90% because seniority rules. If it's slow and there is a low census for patients guess who goes home or get's "called off?" The low seniority people. Low census call-off occur on a daily basis. If you need full-time work, you won't get it here! I got 42 hours on my last check for 2 weeks work and I was supposed to be full-time.

Most new hires leave due to lack of work and constantly being "called-off." The "seniority" employees get all the easy jobs and treat everyone else like dirt.

If you are not an RN you will be represented by SEIU. The SEIU representatives are negligent in their duties and could not care less about you. Attending an SEIU meeting is like going to a "special ed" class filled with the mentally deficient. This is the WORST organization I ever worked for.

    Advice to Management

There is nothing management can do. This place is run by a Union Contract!
