Pros

I think that this is a good position for some one who is ready for more autonomy in the work that they perform relative to various clerical tasks. This job gives you a lot of experience in many of the administrative tasks that are carried out behind the scenes of a major healthcare organization.

Cons

But, plan a career elsewhere. Move on to other departments, possibly other areas of interest with in the company. After about six months you'll have the opportunity to move on where ever you want to go as long as you are qualified.

Advice to Management

Organization is the key to success. Communication wouldn't hurt either.

    Pros

    get the schedule I want
    Great co-workers

    Cons

Administration looks out for their own bottom line, at the expense of employees and patients
Poor communication with admin/management and staff
No effort made to retain quality staff

    Advice to Management

Patient satisfaction HAS to start with employee satisfaction. Mr. Ivie may not care how many people "jump on the Kaiser bus" but it's concerning when you don't care why so many of your staff are leaving in droves.
