I worked at Dillard's full-time (Less than a year)

Pros

Interact with a variety of people.

Cons

With regards to commissions, at the end of each month Dillard's deducts from your commission your monthly pay. Basically, you have to reimburse Dillard's for working at their stores.

Advice to Management

If the sales associate earns it, they should be able to keep it. You did it once before why did it stop?

    I worked at Dillard's full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The pros of working at Dillards... Well I can say that i truly love the women that I worked with on the sales floor. They hire good people.

    Cons

They do not respect their employees, the store management is consistently negative. No bonuses. I personally was over-qualified for the position I was hired in at, with the understanding that I would receive a raise within the first few months. That did not happen although I was exceeding my sales goals. They lie to their employees and give false notifications of where they are at for their sales goals so they can fire them when they do not make it at the end of the quarter.

    Advice to Management

Restructure your employment standards. Stop with the SPH and raise goal incentives. The best way to have a hard working company and employees is if you give a hourly plus a small commission bonus.
