I have been working at Dillard's full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Getting to laugh with customers and other employees instead of stuck behind a desk as in the past. See all the latest shoes first. The employee discount is good.

    Cons

They schedule way too many sales associates versus customers and we basically have to stalk the customer to survive and make our goal.It seems they don't want us to make any commission in shoes, just make our draw so we are not in deficit. Most don't and will be fired after a few months. The ones that do sell a lot don't do the work in the stockroom that they are assigned. I want survive here because I take time with customer and am not scrambling for another sale or stealing one from another associate.

    Advice to Management

Care about the employees. They work like dogs for peanuts.
