No opinion of CEO

I have been working at Dillard's part-time

Pros

Great pay and the 25% discount

Cons

Sales goals don't change based on store traffic. There'd be no customers and you'd still be expected to sell $1000. No one wants to sign up for a Dillard's card so I wish they'd stop hounding us to get them.

Advice to Management

Managers are cut-throat and show excessive favoritism. For example, they'd fire an employee for violating a policy but help another employee cover up the same thing. #DoBetter

    I worked at Dillard's full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Working with a wide variety of people on a daily basis is always a pro in my book. Dealing with customers on a regular basis could go either way, it all depends on how you look at the situation.

    Cons

Corporate was too hands on when it came to how the store should look. Corporate should give each store the opportunity to set its merchandise to suit its customers needs. They should also allow a re-order option that managers can implement when they are low on stock that sells out on a regular basis in their areas.

    Advice to Management

Give the managers a chance to prove themselves. Get rid of the questionnaire program for applicants. Every one of the managers; when I was working there; failed that test!
