Disapproves of CEO

Pros

Free samples and that is it. Nobody likes working there and everyone is in the process of looking for another job.

Cons

everything- there is not one good thing about working her. The management is horrible, you get treated like you're 5 and its extremely micromanaged. I heard there are areas that are kind of good to work in but definitely not worth putting your time and effort into a horrible company

Advice to Management

Go to a training class to learn how to treat your employees. Don't ever make things personal. Worst company to work for

    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

The opportunity to make good money is there if you work hard. But that opportunity is dependant on the area you work and the effort you put in. If you like working with people, and don't like to stand around may be for you.

    Cons

Opportunity for advancement is limited. Many complain about the work environment at Dillards but it works for a certain type of individual. It is not your average retail position. You will have to work hard but compensation comes with that extra effort. Competition is a given, if you can't take that aspect you should not work here.

    Advice to Management

Revamp the quota card system, so that employees actually know what is going on with thier numbers. Managers are not up on it themselves.

    Pros

Fast paced environment, always busy, customer-oriented, close co-workers

    Cons

Weekend and Night shifts, Saturated market for advancement into purchasing, customer is always right

    Advice to Management

Weekend shifts could be more flexible. Possibly every other weekend off, rather than once a month.
