I worked at Disney Parks & Resorts as an intern (Less than a year)

Pros

Lots of perks and opportunities to be had such as park access, discounts on merchandise and surrounding businesses, and the ability to meet management and look for other jobs in the company.

Cons

Had to dress up more so than other technology companies, but other than that I can not really complain about much else

Advice to Management

None, my management was great

I worked at Disney Parks & Resorts as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Looks good on a resume. Potential employers respect the ethic of the company, while people in general usually find it "cool" that you worked at Disney. Good opportunity for those out of state to live in Florida for a few months. Can work seasonally and have access to all employee benefits (free admission, etc).

    Cons

I live in Florida, so I guess my jaded impression of Disney made my experience not as "magical" as other out of state College Program participants. I worked on an attraction that had a lot of old people who should have already been retired, so they took out their resentment on the new College Programees. Obnxoious customers sometimes, but that figures dealing with 1000s of poeple a day.

    Advice to Management

Help the College Program participants feel more integrated and accepted into the working culture of full-timers.

I worked at Disney Parks & Resorts part-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

You get to work with wonderful people. You get to work at the happiest place on earth.

    Cons

The number of hours vary each week. Sometimes the guests are cranky after a long day. But overall a wonderful rewarding place to work.
