I have been working at Diversified Conveyors full-time for more than 3 years
Pros
DCI is steadily improving from where it was
-The benefits have been getting leaps and bounds better (401k match added, health insurance with funded FSA, etc.)
-Training processes are being developed to properly onboard new employees, and train up existing employees.
-The work coming into the company is being better paced to allow a work/life balance, and provide time for professional development.
-More time is being put into developing the back-end tools in order to correct errors and make them more usable.
-For those that excel, compensation increases are generous.
-For those interested in developing and growing, once interest is expressed, DCI takes developing those interests seriously.
-Good vacation package: starting with 2 weeks vacation and 1 week PTO
Cons
-DCI is still not investing enough in the back-end infrastructure to properly automate the sections that are currently broken/actively providing incorrect outputs.
-The training is not currently at a level for company-wide roll-out.
-There is still a disconnect between the Memphis office and the field locations.
-Communication is still an issue.
-The Memphis location is in a high-crime neighborhood near the airport, in an old building with iffy heating/cooling.
DCI offers a competitive salary for enginners, plus bonuses
Cons
DCI makes a point of being a “Christian” company, so your religion will come up during the hiring process and you will be expected to participate in religious observances regularly during your work.
In spite of that, they have a history of laying off employees with no warning, no severance, and no transition period. You could be looking for a job at any time.
If you’re not an engineer, DCI takes advantage of state programs to pay sub-minimum wage.
