I have been working at Dominion Enterprises full-time (More than 8 years)

Pros

I have been with the company several years now and have seen many changes which all have been for the better. The company has gone from print to an internet company and they are doing a good job making the transition. The division I work with in the company has great management and makes coming to work enjoyable. I am able to dabble in many fields of technology and work with other divisions. Dominion Enterprises is fairly large but breaks the businesses into smaller divisions which makes it more like working for a smaller business.

Cons

There really isnt any cons of working here. There were many in the past which have been corrected in recent years.

I have been working at Dominion Enterprises full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

To be honest, for a first job, it wouldn't be a bad place to get experience. Benefits are bare bones and be sure to get any promise in writing,

    Cons

Nasty place to work. Don't think about a promotion unless you are a white male and raises for the working class are capped at 3%. Managers openly joke with employees about firing them.

    Advice to Management

    get a lawyer

    Pros

Allow depends on the part of the company you work for. Some are better than others. The people who work here are mostly good folks. Friendly and helpful. The dress code has relaxed in recent years and a number of good "Culture" improvements.

    Cons

The down side in primarily in the compensation and benefits. They will low ball you on the salary if they can get away with it and getting raises out of them is difficult. Have seen a number of quality people leave because they weren't being paid what they were worth. 6 months before you get any vacation and they are kind of skimpy on the holidays. They also changed the health insurance recently and there's a deductible that must be reached before it kicks in.
They also outsource some. Not a whole lot, but just enough to leave a bad taste in your mouth.

    Advice to Management

Address those areas and share a little more of the success of the company with the employees and you'll see loyalty and productivity soar.
