Pros

Advancement could be gained if you were willing to work and work and work.

Cons

But in the end, even those willing to give it all for the company are tossed out onto the street leaving a senior management that over the years ran the company with their short term bonuses in mind and no real concern for real leadership and communication.

Advice to Management

Most of the original senior management is gone with their golden parachutes so I would advise the new crop to actually plan and execute well thought-out strategies that are actually communicated to the people that work for the company. Have a mission statement that workers can really buy into. Senior management proclaimed it's long term mission statement as "Bad Pictures, on Bad Paper, Yields Big Profits." How disappointing to those that worked under such profound leadership.

    Pros

This is a good company if you are based in the field as there is a lot of flexibility and you can work from home in a virtual environment. The benefits package is pretty average and the pay is okay, especially in today's times where a decent job is hard to come by. Like I said, the real key is to be field-based so that you can take advantage of some tax write-offs for a home office which helps make up for average pay.

    Cons

The corporate office environment is nice on the outside, but the morale is very bad internally. This really seems to be bad in our IT department and anybody in operations. The accounting and billing department has been a mess over the last couple of years and we have really made it hard to have close relationships with customers because of a lack of credibility. It has improved but only recently, and several product launches haven't worked as expected. We also seem to launch a lot of products without a real game plan of out to take them to market, which tells me upper management lacks strategic planning and an understanding of what customers want.

    Advice to Management

I really think you need to upgrade your HR department - they aren't very creative and seem to only be there to protect the company from lawsuits, etc. Perhaps this is more of the responsibility of the upper management team as well, which also doesn't seem to be very inspiring.
