Pros

Lots of opportunity to grow if you know what you're doing. Very competitive. Quick opportunity to learn direct marketing. Costco employees are amazing and you'll probably want to work at Costco or at the wireless center by the end of the first shift.

Cons

In-store marketing job (selling Directv at a kiosk in Costco). Your timesheet will be changed, without your knowledge, even after you sign it. 40 hours are NOT promised unless you are selling. Leaders only spend time with the top 20%, disregard the rest. Schedules are subject to change without timely notice.

Dear reviewer, Thanks for the review! We're sorry to hear that you had a negative experience with our company. We're very team-oriented so we take these reviews very seriously. We're concerned with a few of your points. First, the timesheets are never edited after they've been submitted unless to add in mandatory breaktimes that are included inside of shifts or if they were filled out incorrectly. Second, all of our full-time positions consist of 40 hours a week spread out over 5 days a week unless someone is not prepared for their shift, in which case, they aren't able to come back to work until they are prepared for their work day. Also, like stated earlier, we are very team-oriented and we pride ourselves on giving hands-on training to every individual that joins our team, so we deeply apologize if you ever thought that wasn't the case as that was not our intention. Again, thank you for the feedback and we hope you find another great opportunity!

Pros

Entrepreneurial company that works hard. I like that the harder I work the more I get rewarded. I also don’t like to be micromanaged so it’s cool because if I manage myself there is a lot of freedom. I recently moved into a role where I also get to manage some other people and I like to be a team lead. It’s just cool how if I do well and ask for more I get more so I like the company.

Cons

I have to be on my game and if I don’t manage myself the boss comes in and corrects me so it’s a good and a bad but definitely like the freedom.

Pros

I worked with Dover Solutions during my summer break and it was a great experience. I joined initially to learn more about marketing and promotions, but I learned way more than I had bargained for. Aside from marketing/promotions, I also learned about business overall, management styles/techniques and also got to attend a conference. I learned how to come out of my shell and network with colleagues in order to become better at my job. I really enjoyed the team that I worked with. You can tell that they're excited when they come into the office in the morning and they're genuinely excited to see you as well. I felt at home in the office and I hope to come back again after my final year of college.

Cons

Since the company isn't a large company, the CEO and managers have a lot more time to invest in you. However, that also means that sometimes you'll be asked to wear multiple hats if someone calls in sick or can't perform their duties. I feel like that's what makes you grow as a professional, though, but I can see how that would irk some people.
