- Good colleague (in most cases)
- Good 401k matching
- Good work-life balance (not for every position)
Cons
- Lack of innovation: DuPont has excellent products such as Kapton, Kevlar, Tyvek, Cyrel, and Delrin, which generate lots of cash right now. However, they were invented decades ago, and there have not been major innovations in recent years. While DuPont claims it is an innovative company, it is hard to believe the claim anymore. Yes, it is possible to tweak these products and/or develop new applications, but there are limits to exploiting the current product lines.
- Lack of revenue growth: The above-mentioned lack of innovation seems to be the culprit. This seems to be reflected in its share price in the past decades. Without revenue growth, it is hard to reward many employees (raises and promotions.) except for selected employees.
- Lack of fighting spirit: It seems that not many employees have the determination to innovate and grow revenue. This is understandable due to the lack of innovations (many failures) and because not many are rewarded in the past. How is it possible to work hard if we are not rewarded?
