Approves of CEO

I worked at EMC full-time (More than 5 years)

Pros

The health benfits are great; you have the opportunity for great training across many of the umbrella companies such as RSA, VMWare, VCE, in addition to all the products EMC sells

Cons

Work in excess of 70 hrs/week; more and more administrative work; conerns over PM delivery being shipped overseas. Unless your sales, your nothing

Advice to Management

Recognize not only the sales teams; but reward the implementation & project managers that actually make it all happen. Having resources entrenched with clients while implementing one solution usually follows up with additional sales and revenue. But these resources need the financial motivation

    I worked at EMC full-time

    Pros

    - Great company benefits
    - Great salaries
    - Lots of training available
    - EMC's customer satisfaction is high
    - Lots of bright, hardworking people

    Cons

    - IIG seems to take two steps forwards and one step back, or is it, one step forward and two steps back when it comes to innovative product solutions
    - IIG is no longer a thought leader in the space
    - EMC doesn't seem to be placing a focused effort in keeping IIG in the leadership quadrant
    - Lots of employee churn over the past couple of years
    - morale is low in IIG
    - It seems to have gone downhill ever since EMC acquired Documentum and I don't see a short-term turnaround.

    Advice to Management

Stop being complacent and be a disrupter. Hire thought leaders than can turn this sinking ship into one that floats and is able to be more agile. Invest in product management and all the developers that are needed to support them. With great products, the rest will follow.
