I have been working at EMC full-time (More than a year)

Pros

Offers great salary
Allows remote/work at home
Upper management are very technical and appear to mostly have come from engineering.
Recognizes and rewards top talent.

Cons

401K match is limited
Health rewards reduces your contribution amount for the health insurance but it's a pain. We should just get the discount always.

Advice to Management

Keep up the great work.

I worked at EMC full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Great Products, quality service to customers, good pay

    Cons

Average 60 hours a week, little to no management or leadership, just hit your numbers and all is well until you miss then the sky falls on you. Little room for advancement unless you 'play the game'. Had 16 managers in 10 years and I rarely ever saw them. If you are not the sales rep then you shouldn't expect any respect or recognition.

    Advice to Management

Consistency in management practices and proper training. Treat all employees with respect not just the sales reps.

  2. "Intense, lots of suupport for sales, true market leader"

I worked at EMC full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The company supports sales operations like few other tech companies out there. The Boston college jock culture permeates the sales force (this may be a negative for some). The company looks out for proven performers who have put out for the job.

    Cons

Make your number or die! This is a very intense sales force. Not for the faint of heart or those who want a 9 to 5 job.

    Advice to Management

The acqusition strategy has been great. Time to spruce up the legacy products a bit.
