I worked at EMC full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Overall EMC is a well run global organization. The best training and weekly updates from the top down. The have a great on-boarding and general on-going training for both sales and sales management. I recommend working for EMC at least once.

    Cons

Since EMC is a very large global company there are things that fall through the cracks. Not too many folks are held responsible as you may think. It truly is a good ole boys club from the top down. Many managers are there for over 10 years however if you are from an acquired company you will not last long as you will fail in assimilating to the new culture. Watch your back when you can and stay below the radar. Do your numbers and all will be good.

    Advice to Management

Make sure you hold others responsible up and down the org chart. Know that others are watching how decisions are made. Support the teams better and provide weekly open talks to the teams .
