    Pros

Interesting technical and scientific problems that Intergraph/ERDAS are trying to solve for their customers. The industry in which they they serve is on a growth trajectory for many years to come and there is a need for qualified scientists, engineers and software developers there.

    Cons

Like many companies who chase quarterly earnings, they are no different. They have become a marketing company where shortsightedness and self preservation are the norm for the the vast middle management tier. Sales and marketing are more important than quality products, the main reason they have lost record numbers of highly skilled technical staff over the past two years through voluntary departures. Hard line implementation of Agile has stifled innovation and created an environment devoid of creativity and enthusiasm.

    Advice to Management

Open and honest communication is a great tag-line for a managing human beings. All you have to do is follow this with your heart and listen to the assets that walk out the door everyday and return every morning.

    Pros

Interesting Geo Spatial technology if you understand the vast domain.

    Cons

Truly a sweatshop where workers are put under heavy stress ALL the time. Poorly implemented Ajile leading to micro-management. Management thinks of itself highly, but the employees feel like they are working for FoxConn! Management induced bad morale by trying to get employees jump thru BS hoops and openly telling employees they are all replaceble.

    Advice to Management

If you want to be like Google or Apple, treat your emploees well. Its a 2 way street.
