I have been working at EY full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Great opportunity to advance.
Unlimited opportunity to learn. Essentially, ask for an account/project and you will be given an opportunity to work on it. Smart team members, very dedicated.

    Cons

Work/life balance is poor. Depending on the clients, you can work late (9pm and later) year round. The pay is poor relative to hours worked.

    Advice to Management

Actually follow through on flexibility and work life balance objectives.

    Neutral Outlook

I have been working at EY full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    - good experience for entry-level graduates
    - looks great on resume, impressive name

    Cons

    - poor compensation for workload
     - unrealistic and unachievable expectations
     - very poor feedback on performance
     - total lack of training ad education for new technologies and concepts while the expected skill is at the expert level
     - complete lack of understanding for personal issues
     - overly aggressive and jaded senior managers, executives and partners
     - too much emphasis on rank (your insight and even general work performance will be ignored below or even at the manager level)
     - employees treated like assets or generic resources
     - micromanagement, "setting up to fail" and management by fear are common practices
     - complete lack of respect for staff by senior management and executives
     - a cut-throat and back-stabbing nature of work environment is encouraged and rewarded

    Advice to Management

Do not underestimate your staff. They carry your workload and represent your own ability to effectively manage a group of employees. Insults and back-handed comments will only make them resent you and have no ambition to do well. Your poor attitude reflects and extends to your subordinates.
