Pros

Great working culture and people, colleagues are friendly and helpful.
Quicker progression than working in MNC, with considerable salary jumps.
Good for building up network and making friends for those in the 20s.
Opportunity to work with large public listed companies.
The firm will fund for professional studies in exchange for a bond period.

Cons

Long working hours and work on weekends are expected of the staff.
Career progression will be halted if failed to attain professional qualifications.
Stress of balancing work and studies.
Need to cope with high turnover rate, which sometimes means having to do re-work, or take over poorly managed engagements.

I worked at EY full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    - Great Partners who take the time out to get to know you as a person, give praise where necessary
    - Great exposure

    Cons

    - Too many paper pushers at Manager/Senior Manager level,
    - Need to be "IN" the right crowd from the very start or you're doomed and will be blamed for everything
    - Internal processes are shambles, especially when it comes to proposals, focus is on winning work rather than what does the project entail/can EY actually deliver/have the right resources to take on the work

    Advice to Management

    - Review your new joiners processes especially those from non-consulting backgrounds
    - Review basic HR processes, especially around discrimination
    - Review how managers interact with project teams, don't just assume when you're there all is fine and dandy
