    Negative Outlook

I worked at EYP full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Broad architectural and engineering practice in higher education and government sectors, targeted expansion to health care through acquisition of other firms.
Energy practice and historic preservation expertise.

    Cons

Focus on cost-efficient project delivery, not balanced with design quality or best-service to clients.
Shifting of staff assigned to projects results in repetitive learning, ineffective production and scheduling, as well as lowered staff morale.
Stated objective of delivery of expertise not always achieved.
    Client satisfaction not consistent.

    Advice to Management

    Deliver on promises.
Take a long term view to build a better reputation.
Investment of time and financial resources to improve a practice are worth it in the long run.
Treat employees as valued colleagues and talent resources, not a commodity.
