Pros
Some bright people and diamonds in and amongst the crazies. Excellent customer service and fulfillment on products. People have balanced lives. The office is empty by 5pm because people go home to their families and their lives outside of the company. There are spurts of work with long hours and travel, but there is flexibility in general to balance work and life. Great benefits package and the programs designed to support, acknowledge and reward people are top-notch.
Cons
Lacks management vision and leadership. There is no visionary or evangelist for the company and little differentiation from competitors. While the CEO is a good guy, he is the wrong leader for this company at this time. They need a Driver CEO that can inspire and lead. The current CEO is better suited for an established company working in maintenance mode, not one that is trying to figure out it's place in the market and needs a clear vision of what is possible. The personalities, bi-coastal offices and emotional and organizational baggage from what has gone on before has created an incredibly divisive, dysfunctional organization that makes it hard to accomplish tasks and holds the company back from succeeding.
