I have been working at Easterseals full-time (More than 3 years)

Pros

Individual contributions can make a huge impact. Rewarding roles.

Cons

Lack of benefits and lower than average pay.

Advice to Management

Reward good staff. Current practices force quality employees to move on after a short time. Company and programs suffer.

I have been working at Easterseals part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Honestly, nothing beneficial whatsoever has become of the position I accepted with this company. So many promises were made, and I believed it all, but accepting this position has been the biggest regret of my life.

    Cons

Management has no idea what they're doing. It's like everyone is on their first day. They promise health benefits, high hourly pay, "near full-time" hours, but none of it every happened. I accepted a full time job to work for this company, and they have a company policy of scheduling at least 10 hours per week, but they gave me 6. I literally had to go on welfare to feed my family. I haven't been able to find other work, so after being here nearly a year, I am financially ruined. So many promises that things will be added to my schedule but it never happens. Terrible company.

    Advice to Management

Be honest about what you're offering. If you only have enough work to schedule an employee 6 hours a week, be sure to tell them so. If you have no intention of scheduling enough hours to receive health benefits, tell your potential new hires.

I have been working at Easterseals as a contractor (More than 3 years)

    Pros

THE HOST AGENCY (ST. SABINA CHURCH) WAS REWARDING TO WORK FOR BECAUSE OF THE SPIRIT ENVIRONMENT, HELPING PEOPLE AND THE CHILDREN.

    Cons

IT'S ONLY A TEMPORARY TRAINING PROGRAM, NOT A JOB.

    Advice to Management

SENIORS THAT ARE NOT AT RETIREMENT AGE, MAKE THIS A JOB NOT A TEMPORARY TRAINING PROGRAM. THANK YOU.
