I have been working at Eastman as an intern (Less than a year)

Pros

Versatile business units. Great job opportunities. Great work/life balance. Employees work as family. People care and work towards a good company future. A good research base, they are always looking for new products or optimising the ones they have. Engineers have a diverse work background since there are various job opportunities.

Cons

If your supervisor feels you are not super experienced, he does not get you involved as much as possible. That is why it depends a lot. Of course all of this is valid for intern/co-op. I do see full-times challenged and with good/positive load of work.

Advice to Management

Review better with whom students (intern/co-ops) get paired with. This is the chance of the student to prove they are good enough to work for the company. For the rest, it is a great place to work with.

    No opinion of CEO

I have been working at Eastman full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

People are great. Work gets done, but atmosphere can be relazed. Copmany still has family values. Found surprising number of fun activities in Tri-Cities. Work life balance. Kinsport site has 3 gyms at plant. Free convenient access. Possibility to try lots of jobs without moving.

    Cons

Possibly pay, but life is super cheap in Kingsport. Most of discontent amount employees i found was in R&D, but exists in some other places. Might not have path to become next CEO from bottom. Who does?

I worked at Eastman as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

They have a great internship program to learn about chemical industry. You will likely start with ~10 interns, so there will be plenty of things to do. The pay is competitive, however, not top notch.

    Cons

You might end up with a few projects without enough resources.
