    Neutral Outlook
    No opinion of CEO

I have been working at Eaton full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Get to work with products used in a variety of commercial and military applications
Exposure to information systems and manufacturing business systems
    Teamwork skills can be built
Lots to learn about manufacturing. If interested in becoming an engineer; you can see them in action every day.
Benefits; particularly for college students including: Medical, Dental, 401K, Tuition Reimbursement
    Overtime Available
Proactive in avoiding accidents and protecting employees against harmful chemicals

    Cons

Workers sometimes get ostracized for declining to work overtime
Two 10 minute breaks and a 30 minute lunch make for a waste of 50 minutes of your day
Those producing heavy volumes tend to get more pressure to work overtime
Goals are ambiguous for those low on the totem pole; definitely somewhat of a con for goal oriented folks.

    Advice to Management

Exercise ideas given to you from the guys and gals on the floor. Get involved with production. When there are hangups on the assembly line it can get frustrating for us little people. If there are eyes and ears nearby, issues can get fixed faster, people will stay happier, and some of the overtime that chews into the weekend can be avoided.

I worked at Eaton as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great corporate culture, great compensation. Management makes expectations clear but gives you the latitude to solve your own problems. Challenging work. Great working environment. I could see myself working for Eaton throughout my career, and never be lacking for opportunities.

    Cons

    Eaton is fond of relocation.

    Advice to Management

Keep focusing your efforts on young talent and Eaton will dominate the future of power management.
