Pros

Money was good, and they gave me an impressive job title, but this spoiled me for my next job!

Cons

Eaton believes they are god's gift to ethics and tries to make their employees believe so, but they won't tell you about their backhanded deals, political lobbying(go check influence explorer, Eaton says they give no political donations, which is a blatent lie) or their illegal benefits policies. (Multiple HIPAA violations)
As an engineer, Eaton's pedestrian pace of research & development was extremely frustrating, and their policy of financially penalizing 'high risk' new business(i.e. charging startups more than established companies) has unfairly screwed over more than one independant business venture - Eaton deliberately prices themselves out of reach for many new projects so they don't have to hire new personnel.
Also, don't be lulled into the illusion that this is one large worldwide company, Eaton is a loose federation of independant businesses with a common letterhead, many of which directly compete with each other for resources and personnel, there is no cohesion or sense of unity even though they would have you believe it's all just 'one Eaton', each individual business fends for itself just like it had to before it was 'acquired' by Eaton, Eaton itself is just a holding company, which grows only through acquisitions, not through technology.

Advice to Management

Stop pretending to be ethical, show some honesty and transparency, admit your mistakes to your employees, then sort out your miserable benefits system - treating the employee like the enemy doesn't make people feel appreciated. Finally, look after your flock, and pay attention to your competitors, you're WAY behind the curve...

    Pros

In general it is a good place to work. Management is fairly competent and they look for ways to sell and promote value.

    Cons

Management plays favorites and politics. Sometimes management will indirectly threaten people if they do not tow the line or are suspected of not giving good survey feedback on managers.

    Advice to Management

If it is not broke do not fix it. Managers will change things uo drastically just to say they did something even when it may not be necessary.
