Approves of CEO

I have been working at Eaton full-time

Pros

Good retirement benefits. Department has a pension plan and 401k.

Cons

Uncompensated overtime is an unwritten expectation. Review process for compensation adjustment is unfair, arbitrary, and is more focused on relationships than results.

Advice to Management

Former sales people make poor field service engineer managers.

I have been working at Eaton as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Adept mentoring for length of employment
    Cross-Functional Project opportunities
Latitude to transfer into other departments/functions
    Challenging growth assignments
Open knowledge transfer and collaboration expedites the steep learning curve to perform beyond expectations almost immediately
A truly open-door policy for brainstorming to devise optimal solutions to complex problems
    Culture exemplifies their stated values

    Cons

12 hour work days approximately 2-3 times a week for indirect support roles; however, personnel issues arise at untimely moments, so this reality is a widely known and accepted expectation of the role within any organization. The experience was extremely positive and allowed for both professional and personal growth.

    Advice to Management

Keep promoting a mutually collaborative culture
