I worked at Ebix full-time (More than 5 years)

Pros

This is a great place for someone just starting out looking to gain experience. The majority of workers are very dedicated to providing quality work and are always willing to lend a hand. Health benefits are top grade and relatively low cost.

Cons

This is NOT a place for the matured employee. Salary raises are a joke if you're lucky enough to even get one! Work load is completely unreasonable for the salaries and you always feel like you're always treading water trying to keep up with the work and client. Upper management is spread too thin and they may make it twice a year to the various offices in the US. Their door is always open when you have an issue or suggestion, but they never follow through on promises they make...almost like a black hole. Their commitment to clients is an embarrassment and they will give attention to the client who screams the loudest. Almost everything is outsourced and because they don't support competitive salaries the turnover rate overseas and in US is high.

Advice to Management

Stop making promises and not following through. That is not a way to run a company and only frustrates your workforce further as they are underpaid for the dedication to their work and commitment to clients.

    Pros

Work environment and surity of job found the only company in noida region which were hiring during recession, great company

    Cons

Salary issues and the time taken by them for appraisal . I think they should concentrate on this issue in order to retain talent in the company

    Advice to Management

If u want to know the real scenario of the work conduct a survey restricted to the executive level of the company that will give a clear and real picture

    Pros

An Ebix employee will work on projects geared toward creating straight through insurance processing (life and annuities) for the very large players in the Financial Services and Insurance industries. This would include exposure to clients like Merrill Lynch, Wells Fargo, Edward Jones, Ameriprise and Fidelity Investments, as well as insurance carriers like MetLife, Prudential, John Hancock and Pacific Life. I've seen others comment that supervision could be better. In my world I see this as the autonomy for a self-starter and creative thinker to develop new ideas and solutions to solve client needs and industry problems.

    Cons

Compensation is "Fair" but the company does a poor job of following up on regular employee performance reviews and recognizing outstanding performance. Benefits are good with 401K, Medical, gym membership, etc. Overall, I'd say that there is a lot more that I like about Ebix than I dislike and therefore, to me, it is a great place to work. The immediate leadership at the Vice President level is nothing short of outstanding and these leaders are completely accessible to their employees and committed to their success. Working with them is what makes Ebix a great place to work.

    Advice to Management

    1. Create a program for requiring annual performance reviews. If such a program exists today employees are not aware of it and it is not being enforced.
    2. The company has had 47 consecutiive quarters of record earnings performance. How about an across the board salary bump to match CPI?
