I have been working at Edelman full-time (More than a year)

Pros

Tons of people that are: smart, engaging, thoughtful, and hard working. You can literally carve a path for yourself doing what you want to do and you are set up for success.

Cons

There is a lot of senior managers and personalites that are so vastly different, it is sometimes difficult to navigate.

Advice to Management

Treat each employee as the same, and try to be as encouraging as you can be. It could go a long way, and would probably be returned 10 fold by your employee.

I have been working at Edelman full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Edelman will give you, by far, one of the best professional experience in the business. They'll also work you as such. If you're up for the challenge, go for it. But do know that this is not a 9-5 job. There's also a big push for giving people opportunities if you, a) prove you're worth the investment and b) ask for it. Whether it's moving groups or offices, the longer you stay with the company, the more you'll get back.

    Cons

Very low pay compared to the amount of work you do. Also, your experience is very much tied to who your manager is. If your manager sticks up for you and acts as an advocate, you'll go far. If not, you may be overlooked -- simply because everyone is too busy to notice.

    Advice to Management

Pay your employees more. Especially with junior staff, one of the reasons they leave at such a high rate is because they feel underpaid.

I have been working at Edelman full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Smart, passionate and ambitious people.
Collaborative culture, strong camaraderie among teams.
True focus on creating a best-in-class workplace.
    Supportive management team.
    Amazing client portfolio.

    Cons

Like any other agency, the pace is fast and the expectations are high.
You need to be prepared to work hard and always deliver the best, but my managers do keep an eye on work/life balance.
