Pros

There is a lot of freedom that comes with the financial advisor position. You run your own office and have your own assistant. You do not have to put up any upfront money for your office they just want you to put in the time to build it up. There are more ways to be compensated for your hard work, not just commission. There are two great trips each year you can win for your successful sales, bonuses and a chance to become a partner of the firm down the road. Overall Edward Jones is a great company to work for

Cons

Technology is finally getting up to speed but it has taken awhile to get there.

    Pros

Edward Jones is a very supportive firm that is in the top tier of the large financial services firms. Much of your experience will depend on the middle management. Fast paced and demanding, this is not a career for everyone. You will be pushed to your limits and discarded if you don't perform. With that said, they are one of the most supportive firms from a resource standpoint if you can hack it.

    Cons

They don't give new advisors much time if you can't hack it. It is a "produce or you're out" deal.

    Advice to Management

More focus on local management and more time with new advisors
