Disapproves of CEO

Pros

Name recognition
Ability to set up shop nationwide
Decent training and access to materials
Vacation bonus incentives
OT pay available while training

Cons

Workplace ignorance/insensitivity is highly prevalent
Immaturity of new hires is obvious - some of the employees are plucked right out of high school without even attending or finishing college
Diversity is non-existent: if you are a woman, immigrant, or ethnic minority, prepare to stand out like a sore thumb
Very "small town" "mid-Western" feel, not recommended for worldly job-seekers used to living in a city or those who have worked globally
Very poor medical coverage/benefits

Advice to Management

Get a clue when it comes to workplace sensitivity and making sure you squash inappropriate comments, behavior, and attitudes before they get out of hand. This training program was a wannabe-frat house complete with over-sexed booze hounds ruining it for the rest of us.

    Disapproves of CEO

    Pros

    Easy job
    Name recognition within St. Louis
Access to top management but it doesn't get you anywhere
If you want to be doing the exact some thing for 20 years this is the place

    Cons

    VERY few promotions from within
    Pay stinks
benefits are very expensive and not that great
    Lack of career progression
Lack of acquisition of new skill
The 'Beverly Hillbillies' run the firm
    No cultural awareness
No regard for higher education, in fact some were criticized for getting avanced degrees
General partners will flat out lie to you
Movement to other departments is almost impossible
    No cultural or gender diversity

    Advice to Management

Pay people more, stop telling associates that they can go to management and speak freely only for associates to be criticized. Expand to other markets and just becasue someoen can sell does not mean they can manaage a firm
