Approves of CEO

Pros

- You are measured on actual performance, not subjective reasons or personal relationships
- If you do a good job, you're recognized for it
- They hire from within whenever there are qualified candidates... many senior leaders started in entry or mid level roles
- Good feedback process
- Top notch training program
- Good incentives for sales and other phone jobs

Cons

- Cafeteria isn't great, but it's in the building and there's free coffee daily. You can easily drive to a better meal within a 1 hour lunch break.
- Insurance industry isn't doing well last couple of years so annual increases have been modest, but we're lucky to get anything. Many people get zero in this economy.
- Health package at GE isn't as good as it used to be.

Advice to Management

Some people are bad for morale. They underperform then bad mouth the company because their boss is riding them to improve. Can't you just fire them? It would be refreshing to have only the people who actually want to be there. And they'll never quit because no one else will hire them.
