I have been working at Electronic Arts full-time (More than a year)

Pros

If you work hard, you will get noticed. At electronic arts you are surrounded by some of the top designers, artists, programmers, DD's... whatever field you are interested in, you can learn from the best

Cons

If you do not reach out to people and state your ambitions, do not expect any opportunities to come to you. Pay your dues.

Advice to Management

Think consumer first

    I have been working at Electronic Arts full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    Mature company that normally get it. There are lots of senior engineers that will not put up with crazy over time and the like. Not to say it is easy but that is part of the fun too.

    Cons

    It will depend a lot on the team however. Starting out in games is hard however once you have worked a few years things get better.

    Advice to Management

    Continue to take risks on good games. We have spent too much on some of the companies we have bought. Star wars didn't turn out so well.

    * Applied technologies are up-to-date or even bleeding edge

    Cons

    * Relationship to upper management should be improved. Strategical changes are sometimes hard to understand und not well explained.
    * Not enough transparency about development of salary.
    * Salary is just average.

    Advice to Management
