I worked at Electronic Arts full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great people, nice benefits if you're full time, casual atmosphere, and hey - the company makes video games, so the vibe can't ever be too awfully serious, right?

    Cons

Management can be on the buddy system so inexperienced folks get a lot of those roles, it's still a call center even if it's for video games (never good), not enough focus on career development, not a great advancement record for women.

    Advice to Management

Be close enough to the work that's done to understand who's doing it well and promote those people - not just guys you like to play disc golf with. Treat your contract workers well and with respect and you'll have lifelong employees even when the conditions/pay are less than desirable.

    Cons

Long hours, death march, not good time management on projects

    Advice to Management

Improve work-life balance - and enforce it, dont let middle managers extort work
