Pros

great Company to work for if you want get global exp on variety of technology implementation projects across multiple industries and verticals. less consulting more implementation centric .. great colleagues - excellent people care leaders.. decent benefits

Cons

promotes complacency .. limited growth if you are a techie ... used to be top heavy .. too many resource mgrs and project maangers - not pay masters! extremely process oriented .may get frustrated if you are a high peformer and loking for a faster growth in consulting career!

Advice to Management

strongly recommend getting rid of mediocore performers and middle management and incent technical folks with business acumen towards consulting leadership positions

    Pros

    Work from home 2 day's a weeks.

    Cons

80hr work weeks, No leadership at the account levels. No raises in 3 years. Pay cuts and layoffs

    Advice to Management

Take some off your executive bonuses and reward the people left. They are your biggest EDS fans and are busting their butts to make it through these tough times. Its time to downsize the account executives, You are paying these guys way to much money when the account managers do all the work and would suffice. Also take a look at the administrative positions. You can afford to let anymore technical people go with out seeing it hit your account profit margins.

    Pros

Senior management is flexible and understanding in the EDS ExcellerateHRO department. Lots of training provided by online delivery services. Plenty of chances to improve and earn certifications using that system. Well laid out career goal planning which is done with a neat HR online platform.

    Cons

Cubicle city. The relocation department purchased a software that they don't really know how to use. When the software developers came to show us how to utilize it, even they weren't sure to what extent it could perform the tasks that we wanted. Many of the employees still shuffle papers around endlessly instead of using the new technological tools, but I can't blame them since the software platform doesn't work well at all.

    Advice to Management

Get a new user-friendly software service package or have someone who is an expert at it teach it properly to all its users.
