Pros

Good salary and initial welcome to the company. Immediately felt part of the team and got to know the immediate people working around me.

Cons

Unorganised, poor management and a lack of procedures in place to make working there easy. Constantly having to send multiple emails to get the simplest of tasks done. Despite not being a massive company, you can't help but feel you are just a number. You will know your boss and maybe the one above them, anything after that is a mystery.

Pros

- It’s no secret that Electrosonic does the coolest jobs in the AV industry. - Jobsites are often clean, granted… there is heavy construction too. PPE is always given when requested. Brand new. - Talented and enthusiastic co-workers. - If you are having a problem on site, wether it be a client, other trades, or even a coworker..IT WILL BE DEALT WITH. Don’t ask for help if you are going to regret it. - Travel to some incredible places around the USA and sometimes international - Hotel accommodations are alway decent. Sometimes even stellar. No motels. Ever - Training is paid for or reimbursed. - Downtime is paid. Many shops will bench you if work is slow, ESI will encourage you to complete training on downtime. - There is plenty of room for promotions and growth, as long as you are willing to be vocal. Your work speaks for itself, but you still need to follow up.

Cons

- As with any non-union shop, you have to negotiate your rate when you sign on. Set a goal/range and stick to it. The raises take a while, but they do come. Be patient or vocal. - Couple of years ago they changed from GSA rate per diem to a flat 65 when traveling domestically. Very disappointing. - Health benefits are not great, and very expensive if selecting a family plan. If you are flying solo or can stay on your spouses insurance, you should be okay.
