I have been working at Eli Lilly full-time (More than 10 years)

Pros

Good salary and beneifits. Very transparent communicators. Employees are very proactive about resolving problems. Employees are very customer service oriented with both internal and external business partners.

Cons

Lilly lost Zyprexa patent and many employees lost their jobs in 2011. Lilly is thinning out the employee population again in 2013 due to loss of Cymbalta patent and Evista. No company workforce reduction plan is in place for 2013. It's currently up to each organization to find ways to cut expenses. I've lost 3 out of 4 job assignments in the past 5 years.

I have been working at Eli Lilly full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great products, great fun, some good counterparts. Very easy work, great family-life balance for a great paycheck.

    Cons

Management LIES, LIES, LIES to employees. Management does NOT understand HR law, and what is allowed and is not. They have no problem showing their stupidity on this. Most managers have been out for themselves in self promotion rather than supporting their team. Company is about to re-organize, so now EVERYONE is looking out for themselves and NOT for their team. Being paid as a team and not individually for bonuses. Poor choice.

Counterparts will ofter stick a knife in your back rather than work with you. if they run to management to complain before you do, it's your career that will be re-evaluated, not theirs. Stupid high school stuff is allowed to go on.

Pays less than other companies in the industry.

    Advice to Management

Stop Lying!! Learn the laws that apply to HR and Management, because clearly they are unknown.
