I worked at Eli Lilly full-time (More than 8 years)

Pros

Smart people, Midwestern work ethic, good long-term pipeline

Cons

Short-term pipeline is weak, another big patent expiration is looming (Cymbalta) and the company tends to value consensus more than strategic leadership.

I have been working at Eli Lilly full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Work / life balance, pension, benefits

    Cons

Low base salary, no merit increases in 2012 & 2014, capped commission, major layoff in July of 2013, Job is repetitive on a day to day basis

    Advice to Management

Stop forcing every corporate initiative down reps throats and think with your own brain for a change. You can not force people to act like robots in front of their customers and rehearse scripts to docs.
