Pros

Strong technology and engineering capabilities in a niche marketplace, Elma could become influential and a leader if it could overcome its own myopia.

Cons

Certain sacred entities exist within the organization that no one dares challenge, even with evidence to the contrary. It's like trying to explain that the world is round when some management employees have decided the world is flat. Nothing will change their minds. Nothing.

Advice to Management

Evolve.

I have been working at Elma full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

You practically have to commit a capital crime to lose your job at Elma.

    Cons

Senior management micromanages all facets of life. Pay is 40% less than industry standards. No chance for meaningful advancement. Medical insurance and benefits are bare bones. Key employees are starting to leave because of low pay and a frustrating work environment. A 3% - 4% pay raise was just given to employees. This was the first pay raise in two years. Maybe it is time to do something.

    Advice to Management

Let people do their jobs. Every day does not have to be filled with emergencies. This is a result of bad management. Two key Vice Presidents are doing more harm than good. Changes need to be made.
