I have been working at Elsevier full-time (More than a year)

Pros

Industry leader with good products and people.

Cons

Have issue with management culture - consistently changing the organization, ineffective in decision making.

Advice to Management

Less frequent changes to the organization. It is quite often to see many employee changes their supervisors every 1 or 2 years.

I have been working at Elsevier full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great work-life balance. Great benefits — including two days off a year to volunteer at the place of your choosing. Stable. Professional.

    Cons

Company overall is a little behind the times. Also, not the most exciting environment. Most people tend to side with the "safe" choice versus the "innovative" one. As with most large companies, there is a lot of red tape. Needs to be more transparency and communication among the different divisions — specifically product, marketing, and sales.

    Advice to Management

Needs to be more transparency and communication among the different divisions — specifically product, marketing, and sales. Needs to be more accountability and incentives for innovative/original ideas.
