I worked at Elysian Energy full-time

    Pros

The owner only hires attractive employees. The well meaning employees hold management to some account. Managers sponsor frequent happy hours.

    Cons

There is a glass ceiling for everyone. Management flat out ignores good ideas. Lack of leadership is poisoning the whole company. Cutting corners and sloppy workmanship is the norm. Management has no problem asking employees to take unnecessary risks.

    Advice to Management

Come up with a business model that doesn't rely solely on utility rebate programs. Try to return to your roots. The focus has shifted from making the world a better place to making more money. An internal restructuring is long overdue.

    Pros

Coworkers are generally nice people. Office is transit-accessible.

    Cons

Management does not have a plan for the company and has gotten by on luck and the work of the underpaid young people it employs. Pay starts low and continues low. The ambitious leave the company within 1-2 years. There are no opportunities for growth.
