I worked at Emeritus Senior Living full-time (Less than a year)

Pros

Loved my residents more than the world itself, always have and always will.

Cons

Low pay for the amount of experience and education that I have. Management wasn't the greatest. Very inconsistent hours.

Advice to Management

Not here to complain because it could have been worse, but actually attempt to show appreciation for your employees. I have been a part of Athena and Emeritus and I must honestly say Athena showed much more appreciation for their employees. Good day.

I worked at Emeritus Senior Living part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The old people love you if you do your job well, are friendly and show you care. Pretty good co-workers when they showed up.

    Cons

Pretty much everything else. My w-4 wasn't submitted so I got a ton of money taken our of my pay check every two weeks. They told me I could fix the problem online but it didn't work. I called corporate no less than fifteen times trying to get it figured out but no one ever answered or returned my messages. I wasn't paid for 3 months and I kept getting the run-around every time I complained. The management doesn't care about the residents or the employees.

    Advice to Management

Get new management that isn't petty, immature and with smaller egos.

I have been working at Emeritus Senior Living part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The best reason to work here is if you are in desperate need for some money and/or would like to get some medical experience for a future position some where else.

    Cons

Some challenges include limited resources to perform tasks for the residents (I.e. Medication, trash bags, snacks, entertainment, transportation).

    Advice to Management

I advise that management just give up and let this place shut down. Iv worked here for quite a while and managers have come and gone leaving little to no improvement in their wake.
