I worked at Endurance International Group full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    - Cheap benefits - Free food - Amazing HR staff and policies (they don’t pinch pennies when it comes to payroll or benefits) - Unlimited vacation time - Very easy coding tasks and problems to solve - A lot of very nice people

    Cons

    - Environment has zero challenges - Software and agile process is very slow and makes you want to fall asleep - Senior engineers do coding that newbs could do yet they are labeled as senior - Pay is kinda low - A lot of inexperienced management - Zero challenge in the day to day which makes it hard to stay awake - Teams work collocated but yet still stick to Google chat for all communication - Managers have no... idea what you do or how much you are doing - Managers just want you to come into the office so that they can see you and know you are working - Working remote in a regular basis not allowed or promoted because then management would have to actually do their job and know what you are doing

    Advice to Management

Let people work remote, stop over complicating simple website work and trust your employees more. If you don’t trust them to get the work done then don’t hire them in the first place

    Pros

Starting pay and benefits are amazing.

    Cons

Real talent and technical experience gets passed up for people that know people. You have managers and coaches that don't know how to do their job. They basically talk around the issues like a car salesman and then try to lead pass the customer without actually fixing or assisting the customer's issue. We have managers that sit at their desk and play Nintendo Switch all day with some of their employees (which happen... to be their friends). We have coaches that push off helping employees to go play ping pong with one another. I've watched co-workers with some amazing talent and great character be turned down for people that have less than average understanding of our job, but get promoted into positions that turn into negative impacts for the company, customer, and co-workers.

    Advice to Management

Please stop promoting employees that are good at lead passes, but actually look at what they are capable of bringing from a real leadership and technical aspect. You think an employee that can lead pass high numbers is the right person for the job and you become blind to their lack of leadership and understanding of the actual position they are in. You are losing really talented and experienced people that try hard... everyday, and are receiving a negative experience with the company because of it.
