I have been working at Entercom full-time (More than 3 years)

Pros

Good People, Great Brands to work with, Decent Corporate support, Alot of grand ideas and many industry professionals in our building. Location is also nice, right in the middle of downtown San Francisco.

Cons

A lot of turnover, reluctant management, Too much management, very few people executing. People are constantly absorbing more and more responsibility with no kickback from management. Employees are expected to give 200% to this job when management could care less.

Advice to Management

Employee Morale is awful. Check on your employees and ask what they need from time to time.

I worked at Entercom full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

opportunity to gain experience in several areas
most main level employees are friendly and eventually welcoming
    competitive benefits package
    excellent, friendly, open CEO
great programs that many other radio groups don't offer (digital, promotional, community based)
free food, tickets and other swag

    Cons

extremely overwork and underpay (if you're on salary, could work up to 55+ hours/week with no extra compensation)
no opportunity for growth within the company
    horrible over-trust in local management
insanely high turnover rate (even for radio)
sexual and age harassment from management with no consequences
treat employees like they are disposable

    Advice to Management

Make an effort to show staff that they are an important part of the process (not just through words).
Get to know your staff and their strengths in order to promote from within instead of firing and hiring.
Corporate needs to be more involved in the overall processes and send regional managers in for one-on-ones with all employees (not just upper management) to find/work out issues.

I worked at Entercom full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Fun, interactive and you obtain corporate experience. You also get to learn alot about marketing, public relations, media relations and technology. It also has lots of perks like concerts and etc. This is a great job for a college student, or someone just out of school.

    Cons

Very cliquish environment, low-pay and bad hours. Everything in radio is automated and their is no need to pay people much to do a typical job there. The exploitation of interns is also humiliating as well.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees about how to improve the company, make changes in specific jobs to allow more freedom for people to do their jobs better. Allow your staff to work for multiple stations if they can't get sufficient hours at their primary station.
