I have been working at Enterprise full-time (More than a year)

Pros

opportunity advancement
Flexible time off
Decent discounts

Cons

Low pay
Long hours
Professional dress
No way of expressing ones individuality

Advice to Management

Pay employees more all around. For those coming out of college 11 dillars an hr is not acceptable compensation. Get with the times-we rent cars...allow business casual dress, or an expense account for clothing. Get out of rental- other departments have more to offer.

I have been working at Enterprise full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

You're not sitting at a desk all day. You're moving around, meeting people, and spend a lot of time outside of the office. It's a great environment to build relationships with co-workers because you're not stuck to a computer screen all day.

    Cons

It can be very rigorous on your body to work from 7:15am-6pm (or later) day in and day out. You have to wash cars and can spend a lot of time on your feet. It's very competitive and you have to work tirelessly to keep your sales up in order to even qualify to be promoted. Everything is competition and about beating someone else which leads to a lot of shadiness.

    Advice to Management

Reduce the hours down to 40. Have alternating shifts so that your employees can enjoy their lives a little better and not be so worn out each day.

    Pros

-teaches you how to be professional, how to treat a customer, how to manage employees, how to run your own business
-get lots of great feedback (reviews, PDMs) from your manager so you know exactly where you stand
-you meet the greatest people - you will stay friends with a lot of coworkers even after you leave
-fast paced days go by quickly
-if you work hard you can advance quickly and almost double your salary within 3-4 years
-even after enduring all the cons that i've listed below for 4 years, I will never regret working for ERAC and will forever be grateful for the experience it gave me to be successful in my current career.

    Cons

-hours are very long, sometimes without a full lunchbreak, and Saturdays are horrible
-customers are very difficult to deal with sometimes especially when you don't have the right car, which happens daily
-you need to constantly be thinking of your next move, it is a very fast paced environment so you need to be able to thrive in that type of setting and keep your cool when it gets tough
-if you have a manager who is "burnt out" your life will be miserable, pray for a good manager!
-constant turnover means you will always have someone new who really won't know what they're doing
-you will have to clean out and wash filthy cars in your dress clothes - even when you're a manager, and you'll have to pick up some creepy people

    Advice to Management

I know it may not be feasible, but creating some type of flexible schedule where, for example, 2 MTs/MAs/AM/BM come in at 8 and work til 5, then 2 come in at 10 and work til 6 may be beneficial since the long hours seem to kill people - WLB!!
