I have been working at Enterprise full-time (More than 10 years)

Pros

Lot's and lot's of Experience! This company will teach you how to handle customer complaints, how to properly “Sale” products, how to effectively market yourself and how to manage different people. Promotions are based on your numbers, so it's what you do that gets you promoted. I never planed on staying here, and it's been a great career choice!

Cons

Lot's of hours! Customers can be a little challenging.

I worked at Enterprise full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

-Everyone starts out in the MT program, lots of people to talk to for advice
-Usually very busy and fast paced so day goes by fast, however can be overwhelming at times
-Lots of opportunities for promotions, however ENTIRELY based on SALES.
-If you are working with a good team of people you like, the job is manageable. A lot of people come from similar backgrounds and like to have fun.

    Cons

-Customer complaints are inevitable, be prepared to have thick skin.
-SALES GOALS. IMO, this is the make or break for a lot of people. The job is to train you on management, but if you can not sell you will never make it. Most specifically and most challenging, selling Insurance to people who are renting because their car was in an accident. If you can overcome this you can be very successful.
-50+ hours a week and every other Saturday.
-Low pay, but for a recent grad it can be acceptable.
    -High turnover
-HIGH STRESS. Most people don't realize there is not a lot full of cars waiting to be rented. At any given point, there can be 0 cars there and 10 reservations. Managers do their best to take care of this but situations happen where you don't have a car for someone and they get PISSED.
ADVICE - THIS IS A SALES JOB! Recruiters will sugar coat it, but that is the bottom line. At the end of the day, it comes down to your monthly numbers in terms of how money you can bring in. If you can do well in that aspect Enterprise can be a long term career move.

    Advice to Management

You guys do a great job of recognition and trying to keep employees motivated. Be honest when interviewing and paint a better picture of what is expected. Also, the best sellers do not make the best managers. They can make the business more profitable but there would be less turnover and better customer service scores if there was more of a balance between sales and professionalism/management skills.
