Pros

Great entry to sales and management. Looks great on a resume, other employers love it.

Cons

Compensation is not what it should be for retention. You will wash cars with a tie on, which isn't fun. A good office can help make the day go by faster though.

Advice to Management

Give lower level employees some sort of commission for sales. They will stay longer and work harder.

I have been working at Enterprise full-time

    Pros

Learn to be able to give an elevator pitch for selling insurance. You have 1 minute to get them to spend $40 a day on insurance

    Cons

It really isn't enjoyable and the money is terrible

    Advice to Management

Teach managers how to train employees without telling them to lie to customers

  2. "It's become far too "salesy""

I worked at Enterprise full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Great resume builder
Great work environment for the first year in which you're doing nothing but selling and going out for happy hours with coworkers and accounts

    Cons

After the first year of proven sales, you're expected to continue focussing on your personal sales with selfish vigor while now managing a branch of employees and trying to put them first (as a good manager should). The problem is, promotion is now so largely based on individual sales even as a manager - as opposed to management skills

    Advice to Management

I realize sales are necessary for growth, but solid management is essential to building good people which will ultimately cement your company
