Pros

Great company to work with, you get an opportunity to deal with all types of people and gain good customer service skills.

Cons

Unless in Management Trainee program you don't get opportunity to work 40 hours and achieve benefits

Advice to Management

Allow customer service agents opportunity to go into management trainee program, good for retention

I worked at Enterprise as an intern (More than a year)

    Pros

Looks great on your résumé, every interview I've gone on has been a breeze due to the experiences I got working here. Made several lifelong friends, the small office environment causes coworkers to become family. Learn the basics of running a business. Improves communication skills. Have freedom to make your own decisions. This is a great stepping-stone but not a career destination.

    Cons

Because the office is small, one bad employee or manager can make life unbearable. Advancement is based on sales and customer service scores so a bad situation can get you stuck in one position. The burden placed on you isn't reflected in compensation. Militarily conservative - shirt & tie no matter the weather and only facial hair allowed is a mustache. You'll clean more cars than you should. This is a service job with at least 1 difficult customer per day.

    Advice to Management

Promotional criteria shouldn't be ONLY numbers based. Reputation travels fast, talk to a person's coworkers to determine advancement.

I worked at Enterprise full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great place to gain management experience and gain cross functional knowledge/skills about insurance, auto-body shops, dealerships and corporate account services. If you fit into the "boys club" culture of this company, you definitely have opportunities to advance.

    Cons

You do everything to run the branch.. wash cars, buff cars, detail cars, drive cars.. If you are not used to such grueling work and barely getting an opportunity to sit down, can handle irrate customers because their insurance will not cover their rental past two weeks when it takes 4 to fix their car, and if you are good at sales, then this is the job for you!

    Advice to Management

Provide advancement for everybody, not just employees who fit into the "boys will be boys" club. Diversity in management will help your business.
